6th Heavy Artillery, (212th Regiment), Regimental Color. Composed of men from a dozen western counties, the 6th Heavy Artillery was organized in mid-September 1864. The state standard was received by the regiment sometime after October 5, 1864. However, when the unit disbanded it also turned over a national and regimental color. The regimental color survived, but the national color has disappeared, although it could be one of the unidentified colors.
